PFH Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen
About us
Personal support and practical orientation
The PFH Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony in 1995, making it the oldest private, state-recognized university in Lower Saxony.
In January 2025, around 4,700 students are enrolled in one of the 60 degree programs in the fields of management, engineering, psychology and business psychology, business law and social work/social pedagogy. They study either at one of the campus locations in Göttingen or Stade or at one of the 24 distance learning centers throughout Germany and Austria. All degree courses combine a consistent practical orientation, a strong international focus and the development of innovative courses. The technology degree courses in composites in particular form an interface with Measurement Valley's activities in the field of training young professionals.
Through its Board of Trustees and its more than 500 partner companies, the university has excellent connections to industry throughout Germany. In the Göttingen and Stade regions in particular, PFH is embedded in a largely medium-sized business environment.
